CBSE Heritage India Quiz 2006-07 will start from August, 2006.  Registration is invited from affiliated schools along with a crossed Demand Draft for Rs. 500/- drawn in favour of Secretary, CBSE, Delhi.  The registration form and demand draft should reach the address given below latest by 15th May, 2006:

Subject:       Heritage India Quiz – 2006-07

 

Dear Principal,

 

          As you are aware, the CBSE Heritage India Quiz was launched in the year 2001 and since then it has generated tremendous enthusiasm.  It has grown from strength to strength as the years pass by and the 2006 edition of the CBSE Heritage India Quiz will start from August, 2006.

 

          I write this now to invite your attention to register your school for the 2006 edition of the quiz.  The competition carries prizes and gifts besides certification.  Teams will be identified on the basis of their performance in the first round of written quiz for participation at Zonal Rounds which will be held at different nodal centres.  16 teams will be selected for the National Rounds which will have 4 quizzes at pre finals and the national final will feature 4 teams.  Second class reserved rail fare for three students and one school escort will be reimbursed to those who will be participating in the national round.

 

          Needless to say we need the support of schools like yours to propel this beautiful quiz to higher dimensions.  Accompanying my letter is a registration form for you to fill in and send back to us at CBSE.  Remember, this is just to register your school for the contest.  You may finalize the team (3 students from class IX, X, XI & XII) before the first written round is held.  The registration fee for each school is Rs. 500/- (Rupees five hundred only) and you may kindly enclose a draft for the amount along with your registration form. 

 

          The last date for the receipt of the registration forms from schools is 15th May, 2006.  Please send us your forms as quickly as you can so that we can formalize the quiz design and mail it to you in time.
