Dear Principal,
With the purpose to operationalise the suggestions to teach fundamental
duties to the citizens of the country, the Govt. of India has
constituted a high level committee under the Chairmanship of Justice J.S.
Verma, Former Chief Justice of India. On the recommendations of the
committee, the schools are required to organize programmes on the
following action points:
- Prominent
display of Preamble to the Constitution of India and fundamental
duties in the school premises in bold letters.
- Observing
January 3rd as the fundamental duty day by organizing
debates etc
- Highlighting
the activities organized by the school in their annual report
- Presenting
values inherent in each clause of Article 51A through anecdotal
talks at morning assembly in schools.
- Seminars,
debates, competitions on different aspects relating to fundamental
duties to be made regular feature to the co-curricular activities of
the schools.
You are
requested to send us a brief report of the activities undertaken by you.
