Guidelines for School Based Evaluation in Social Science |

As
you are aware the attention of the schools have been drawn vide
circular No. 02/04 dated 28th January, 2004 to the scheme of school
based evaluation introduced by the Board in the subject of social
science in class IX from the ensuing academic year and subsequently
in class X in the academic year 2005-06. A total of twenty marks
have been allotted for the internal evaluation.

In
order to facilitate the schools the objectives of the scheme of
school based evaluation and to implement the same in an effective
manner, the Board has drawn certain guidelines to schools (enclosed).
You are requested to kindly go through the scheme carefully and
issue necessary instructions to the concerned teachers in this regard.
It is also important that the teachers teaching the subject are
fully aware of the meaning and spirit of the scheme so that the
pedagogy can be improved and better quality of transaction is brought
about in the classrooms.
